- Represent the client's interests with clarity, diligence and respect for the instruction received.
- Explain legal content in an understandable way, avoiding unnecessary technical language when it adds no precision.
- Inform the client of relevant risks before procedural or out-of-court decisions are made.
- Maintain the discretion and confidentiality of the instruction.
- Discuss the objective of the matter with the client and, where appropriate, propose a realistic outcome in writing.
- Agree fees in writing and in advance whenever possible.
- Inform the client of progress when relevant developments occur or a decision is needed.
- Handle questions and communications seriously, orderly and with a documentary record where appropriate.
